Ashana Taylor
BIKRAM YOGA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR - SPRING 2014
Ashana began her Bikram Yoga practice in 2009 during a difficult time in her personal life, and quickly realized the profound effect that physical movement (and stillness!) had on her emotional well-being. Raising two young daughters and working as a public school teacher at the time, she would attend classes whenever she could to “sweat out” the stress of the moment. After five years of practice and experiencing the life-changing benefits of the Bikram Yoga series, she decided it was time to embark on a life-changing journey. In the Spring of 2014, Ashana attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles, California. She has taught at studios throughout her hometown of Maryland and Central Pennsylvania ever since.
Ashana holds an MBA in Management from Messiah University and has an extensive background in the field of education which spans from the traditional educational system (public secondary education and higher education) to non-traditional alternative wellness education (Bikram Hot Yoga and Rainbow Children’s Yoga). Through this venture, Ashana is thrilled to mesh her two passions: Business Management and Yoga teaching.
Through life’s twists and turns, the one constant is her urge to step into the hot room. She can’t wait to meet you on your mat.
Maisha McAllister
BIKRAM YOGA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR - SPRING 2014
Maisha McAllister is a certified Bikram Yoga, Inferno Hot Pilates, children’s yoga instructor and marketing/event planning professional who started her yoga and fitness practice in Las Vegas in 2007.
She began doing work-study at her local Vegas studio and when she started taking long lunch breaks and even calling off of work just to go to Bikram yoga or go to the gym, she knew that she had a passion for this yoga and fitness. She then made the decision to become a Bikram Yoga and Hot Pilates instructor. Maisha attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in spring 2014 and Inferno Hot Pilates training in 2018.
Since becoming a Bikram yoga instructor, Maisha has seen hundreds of people and children change their lives, their minds and their bodies with this yoga and fitness. The reason why she practices Bikram yoga is because it gave (and continues) to give her balance, confidence, clarity and passion.
Maisha teaches a fun class filled with singing, laughter, intense knowledge of the postures and LOTS of burpees. So be ready to work hard and have fun all in the name of healing and getting stronger.
TINA LOGAN
BIKRAM YOGA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR - SPRING 2009
Tina stumbled upon her first Bikram yoga class in 2006 while living in South Florida. She was looking for a low impact workout to counter the negative effects of her sedentary job. She was gaining weight, losing muscle mass and just not feeling “good” like a young 20-something should. As a former gymnast, that was unacceptable. She knew it was time to do something!
Yoga seemed to be the answer, but she had no idea that practicing Bikram Yoga was going lead her down the path of such healing and transformation. Since her teen years, Tina had suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome. Within a few months of regular practice, her symptoms had disappeared. This stuff was magic! She had experienced a complete physical, mental, and emotional makeover. Clearly she was hooked for life! 3 years later she took the leap out to California for Bikram Yoga Teacher Training.
Tina will guide you through your practice with compassion, joy and encouragement that helps you stay connected. With a keen eye for detail, she enjoys helping students find their best alignment and achieve the most from their practice.
Along with her love for teaching yoga, she has a great passion for art and works as a freelance graphic designer. Being blessed with a beautiful little family, she has a very sweet and supportive man as her partner and the most amazing creation in their life is their son. When she’s not in the hot room or creating graphics, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and playing chess.
