Prepare for Class
Before Class
• Try not to eat for least two hours before class. Hydrate well with water and/or electrolytes throughout the day.
• Bring a yoga mat, a towel large enough to cover your yoga mat, and a bottle of water*. Some yogis bring a change of clothing for after class.
• Wear comfortable, breathable, and sweat-wicking clothing to practice in. You will sweat. A LOT!
*Note: Yoga mats and towels may be rented and bottled water may be purchased at the studio. We also carry yoga mats and hot yoga towels for purchase.
Upon Arrival
• The studio opens 30 minutes before class and remains open for 30 minutes after class.
• For your first visit, arrive at least 15 minutes early to register and get ready for class.
• Stagger your mat in the hot yoga room. You will need a full view of yourself in the mirror.
• The door to the studio locks when the class begins. Please arrive on time.
• Inform your instructor of any prior or current injuries.
During/After Class
• Come to class ready to listen and learn. Things may be hard at first, but if you allow yourself the space to relax and LET GO you will feel much better.
• You are guided into poses verbally, so choose a space where you can watch others around you.
• After class you may rinse off in the shower.
Everyone has experienced a first class! Our experienced and qualified instructors will give you step by step instructions. The more you surrender, the more you will be in control.
