So why do I need to sweat so much?
The heat will help your muscles, ligaments and joints to safely stretch. In addition, the heat helps you to improve the connection between your body and mind and expand in the limits of what you thought was possible.
Sweating stimulates the detox process through the elimination of waste through sweat. The heat and humidity:

Helps prevent and heal injuries.

Increases cardiovascular capacity and improves functioning of the respiratory system.

Provides healthy and radiant-looking skin.

Increases your metabolism and helps you lose weight.

In the beginning often the biggest challenge is to control your breathing in the warm room. Once you’ve found yourself in your breathing, deepening your postures will follow and you can start practicing the yoga with more intensity. Taking class as frequently as possible is the best way to build your strength and learn.
Due to the heat, you can safely work to stretch and relax your muscles and joints, all the while building strength and toning muscles too. Since the lesson is always the same sequence, you learn to make new demands of yourself during each lesson; working harder and deeper while focusing on calm and steady breathing.
As you begin your practice, keep in mind that it is your effort that counts! You have your whole life to journey through your practice and make changes.
Bikram says, “give me 30 days to change your mind, 60 days to change your body, and 90 days to change your life”. Allow us to guide you along your journey with our New Student Offer.
